The Village at Meridian is an outdoor retail destination in Meridian, Idaho, anchored by a landscape master plan from Lifescapes International. At its center is a 65,000-gallon show fountain choreographed to light, music and fog across three nozzle types. OTL designed and built the two-tier feature to give the center a signature draw for visitors and events.

CHALLENGE
The developers wanted a show fountain that created a genuine retail experience, not just decoration, drawing crowds for events and everyday visits. Achieving that meant coordinating three nozzle types into one seamless performance: 67 vertical chaser nozzles, six motion-based nozzles and two basket weave nozzles. Each type needed independent programming to move in true synchronization with the others.
OTL’S
SOLUTION
OTL built the vertical chaser nozzles to produce booming jets that chase each other in orchestrated succession. Six motion-based nozzles, engineered with rotating heads on a dual-axis flow system, propel water in every direction, while two basket weave nozzles intertwine a swirling, latticed spray. Individual lighting and variable frequency drives on every nozzle gave OTL precise control.
The Village at Meridian’s show fountain has become a signature draw, running synchronized shows throughout the day. Visitors return again and again to gather around it, making it central to the center’s identity.
