Texas Live! is a $250 million entertainment and hospitality district in Arlington, Texas, near the Rangers’ and Cowboys’ stadiums. Nestled in a public park along Johnson Creek, the district needed a landmark with clear stadium sight lines. OTL designed and built a technology-driven special-effects show fountain to anchor this gathering place.

CHALLENGE
OTL had to deliver a grand-scale amenity within a tight six-month timeline spanning design through construction. The fountain needed to compete with high-profile neighbors like AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field while fitting the city’s Sculpture Trail along Johnson Creek. OTL also built in room for future expansion so the fountain could grow with the district.

SOLUTION
Working with the project team, OTL delivered a spectacular show fountain that features 57 chaser jets over 25 feet tall, six air cannons over 60 feet, six burst-effect cannons and 200-plus color-changing lights. OTL also programmed custom sequences that burst into celebration whenever the Rangers or Cowboys score nearby.
The Texas Live! show fountain now delivers an impressive spectacle while beautifying Johnson Creek and enhancing the entertainment district. As a focal point of the public gathering space, it draws people from miles around.
