Just north of Dallas, OTL designed and built the show fountain that anchors Legacy West, one of North Texas’s largest mixed-use developments. Set in the central plaza along the property’s main thoroughfare, the fountain sits directly beside luxury apartments, restaurants and retailers in a busy, open-air setting.

CHALLENGE
Ownership needed a focal point memorable enough to draw crowds and support stronger retail sales, commanding enough that retailers would pay a premium for space nearby. That fountain also had to hold its own within a fast-growing development already packed with residential, retail and hospitality attractions.
OTL’S
SOLUTION
OTL choreographed water to music and light across three interconnected concrete basins sharing one filtration system, spanning roughly 3,500 square feet and nearly 52,000 gallons of water. A total of 131 nozzles, including Variojet flower-effect jets, multi-axis fan jets and rotating basket weave nozzles, combine with 398 LED RGB lights capable of two million colors each for a swirling, latticed water ballet. OTL also custom-built the fountain’s show and audio controllers, which send real-time diagnostics back to OTL for ongoing maintenance.
Legacy West’s show-stopping fountain has become the development’s signature attraction, drawing residents and visitors into a live/work/play destination spanning retail, dining, hospitality and office space across this fast-growing submarket.
