EpicCentral is a 172-acre destination district in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex centered around recreation, hospitality, entertainment, and public space. The Illuvia fountain was created as the district’s defining experience and central gathering point.
Today, it stands as a visual landmark that helps shape the character of the development.

CHALLENGE
The district needed more than a water feature. It needed a recognizable focal point that could unify activity, bolster future growth, and create a a memorable identity within an active lake environment.
The solution also needed to function as both infrastructure and experience within a rapidly evolving destination.
OTL’S
SOLUTION
OTL designed and constructed a modular show fountain integrated directly into the existing lake, combining robotic water effects, lighting, music, projection, and interactive AI technology.
The system was engineered for long-term flexibility, allowing the experience to evolve alongside future phases of EpicCentral. Every element was designed to foster both operational reliability and immersive public engagement.
Today, Illuvia represents the social and visual heart of EpicCentral, drawing visitors together throughout the day and evening.
The environment encourages movement across the district, supports community programming, and reinforces the destination’s identity as it continues to grow.
