Station Park is an upscale retail, dining and entertainment center in Farmington, Utah, anchored by a world-class show fountain. The fountain is one of only two in the United States, featuring colored lights, music and 30-to-60-foot dancing waters. OTL designed, choreographed and built the multimillion-dollar fountain, conceived by landscape architect Lifescapes International.
PROJECT
CHALLENGE
Station Park’s developers wanted their retail center to double as a vibrant outdoor gathering place amid snowcapped mountains and open fields. They wanted a fountain so impressive it would become the project’s signature aesthetic element. Achieving that impact meant creating a technically sophisticated show capable of rotating seven performances throughout the day, plus three more for the holidays.
OTL’S
SOLUTION
OTL’s artisans and engineers designed and built a choreographed water show driven by 52 vertical chasing nozzles and six robotic nozzles moving in all directions. The team programmed music, colored lighting and movement into the rotating shows, including three additional performances for the holidays. OTL also handled show-control testing and trained the property’s staff on ongoing operations and maintenance.
Station Park’s show fountain has become the signature gathering spot developers envisioned, drawing visitors who return weekly to watch the choreographed performances. CenterCal Properties credited OTL’s work with building a lasting partnership between the two companies.
