Perched among the hills of Anaheim, California, this private estate called for an entry as memorable as the home itself. OTL’s artisans answered with a series of streams, waterfalls and koi ponds woven from natural rockwork, softened by flowering plants and ornamental grasses.
Now, that water feature greets homeowners and guests alike, setting a tone of tranquility from the very first step onto the property.

Homeowners envisioned a private paradise at their entryway, one that added both beauty and value without overwhelming the intimate scale of a residential estate. Achieving that balance meant blending rockwork, water and living plantings into a single, cohesive composition.
A koi habitat added its own demands, requiring water clean and calm enough to support fish and flourishing greenery alike.

SOLUTION
OTL’s artisans combined natural rockwork with a flowing sequence of streams, waterfalls and ponds at the estate’s entry, home to thriving koi surrounded by flowers and ornamental grasses.
By day, sunlight plays across moving water and stone, while by night, layered landscape lighting casts shadows and depth, transforming that same feature into something quietly enchanting.
Every element, from boulder placement to plant selection, was designed to feel as though nature arrived first and architecture simply followed.
