Team Spotlight: Getting to Know OTL’s Superintendent Sergio Torres

During 2020, in our newsletter and throughout our social media platforms, we began spotlighting team members who are key to the success of our company.

While OTL is known throughout the USA and internationally for designing and building magnificent water features, rockwork and themed environments, our company’s true foundation is our people. OTL simply would not be the same without our incredibly talented, dedicated, and caring team.

This month’s Team Spotlight is devoted to our Superintendent, Sergio Torres. An invaluable member of our team, Sergio has worked for OTL since 2012, holding multiple positions with our firm during those nine years including maintenance technician and foreman. As superintendent, Sergio manages and carefully watches over every part of the construction of our projects. This includes everything from planning to the successful completion of the project.

We spoke with Sergio about his favorite project, his greatest accomplishment at OTL, and his future aspirations – as well as a fun fact about himself.

Favorite project since joining OTL: My favorite project that I’ve worked on with OTL is the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. It motivates me knowing that we are creating something that families and patients can enjoy while they are receiving their medical treatments. I believe that the water features we build create a healing environment for these patients.

Greatest accomplishment at the company: My biggest accomplishment with OTL is being able to run projects. I’ve spent many years learning how to build and install water features, and it’s rewarding to be able to do this from start to finish.

Fun fact about Sergio: I enjoy fishing and outdoor traveling with my family.

Aspirations for the future: I look forward to learning and growing more with OTL. I have learned so much in the nine years that I have been here. I am eager to learn a lot more and have a great future with the company.
