Team Spotlight: Getting to Know OTL’s Superintendent Scott Pease

During 2020, in our newsletter and throughout our social media platforms, we began spotlighting team members who are key to the success of our company.

While OTL is known throughout the USA and internationally for designing and building magnificent water features, rockwork and themed environments, our company’s true foundation is our people. OTL simply would not be the same without our incredibly talented, dedicated, and caring team.

This month’s Team Spotlight is devoted to Scott Pease, OTL’s superintendent. Scott has been with the company for nearly 11 years and is responsible for monitoring production of our water features while ensuring that efficiency, quality control, and other standards are met every time. He also enforces and establishes standards and policies within the production workflow and reports to our management team on production and optimization levels.

Scott talked to us about his favorite OTL project and his future goals:

Favorite project: “My favorite project since I’ve been with the company is the musical show fountain at The Village at Meridian in Meridian, Idaho. Even through harsh weather conditions, the OTL team put together a world-class fountain that draws many people in to experience the beautiful synchronized water displays. This water feature has become a true must-see and brings much happiness to Idahoans and visitors from far and wide.”

Greatest accomplishment at OTL: “My greatest accomplishment at the company was helping to deliver the 1,200-foot-long creek, linear fountains, and “Flutter” fountain at  City Creek Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of the challenges in completing this project was going to the mountain rock quarry to choose massive boulders that were cut to fit on the stream edges.”

Fun fact about Scott: “My first grandchild (a girl) will be arriving in August, and my family wants to call me Papa.”

Aspirations for the future: “I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our clients, develop and train field employees, and deliver spectacular water features for OTL.”
