Team Spotlight: Getting to Know OTL’s Dallas/Fort Worth Maintenance Manager/Service Technician Dustin Roberts
Posted in Insights -
During 2020, in our newsletter and throughout our social media platforms, we began spotlighting team members who are key to the success of our company.
While OTL is known throughout the USA and internationally for designing and building magnificent water features, rockwork and themed environments, our company’s true foundation is our people. OTL simply would not be the same without our incredibly talented, dedicated, and caring team.
This month’s Team Spotlight is devoted to Dustin Roberts, OTL’s maintenance manager/service technician for the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area, where he works closely with OTL’s Texas team. Dustin provides maintenance service for OTL’s newly created Dallas/Fort Worth water features as well as other fountains in the region. Dustin has been with the company for three years and has become an integral part of our team, ensuring these water features are operating optimally and greatly expanding our maintenance and service offerings.
Dustin discussed with us his accomplishments at the company and his future aspirations:
Favorite project: “My favorite project so far would have to be Texas Live! in Arlington, Texas. I was able to help build this amazing show fountain at an incredible sports-and-entertainment complex, and now I take care of it on a weekly basis. The water feature has everything you could ask for in a fountain: super-tall shooting nozzles; custom nozzles that shoot water up about 4 to 6 feet high and look like jellyfish when the light hits the water just right; and six fire nozzles, which no other fountain in Texas has. It’s just awesome to see!”
Greatest accomplishment at OTL: “One big thing I have done here is start the conversation on making maintenance and service a bigger part of OTL and really trying to offer the client the whole package. It’s one thing to build these beautiful fountains, but if no one takes care of them, they don’t last very long. My job is to make the fountains last for years to come.”
Fun fact about Dustin: “I love to play softball with some friends, and I love coaching my little boys on their baseball teams. I guess being a dad is my fun time.”
Aspirations for the future: “I want to help grow OTL’s business, find new fountains to take care of, and service the fountains we are building in this area. I am committed to this team for the long haul, and to contributing to OTL’s legacy.”
Stay tuned for Team Spotlights featuring more of OTL’s outstanding team members.
