Located just 22 miles north of Dallas, OTL created the state-of-the-art, iconic show fountain that serves as the public centerpiece of the new mixed-use Legacy West development in Plano, Texas
Situated in the central plaza along a main street thoroughfare, OTL’s crowd-stopping fountain is directly adjacent to luxury apartments, restaurants, and retailers in a high traffic, open-air setting, and serves as the central point of the retail entertainment center.

IDEA
As part of a master plan conceived by the internationally renowned developer, The Karahan Companies, Inc., OTL masterfully designed and constructed a memorable focal point where guests can gather and socialize, supporting stronger retail sales, while also attracting retailers willing to pay a premium for space directly adjacent to this attraction.
The sophisticated fountain is choreographed to music and light across three separate concrete basins that are interconnected mechanically on one filtration and treatment system. The surface area of the show fountain is approximately 3,500 square feet with nearly 52,000 gallons of water, 131 nozzles and 398 LED RGB lights capable of producing 2,000,000 colors each. Also equipped with three Variojet nozzles that produce a flower effect, four MDD, 3-axis fan jet nozzles and two rotating basket weave nozzles, the water gracefully intertwines, producing a swirling and latticed water ballet that makes a crowd-stopping show experience.

IMPACT
Legacy West is one of the largest mixed-use developments in North Texas and features over 415,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space; a 55,000 square-foot food hall; more than 1,200 luxury apartment units; two stunning, high-rise luxury living towers; a 24-story condo tower with 94 residences and 127 urban villas; a 303-room Renaissance Legacy Hotel; and over 325,000 square feet of Class A office space, all within a dynamic live/work/play setting. The show fountain brings a crowd-stopping attraction to the community, making Legacy West a must-visit destination for residents and visitors in this rapidly growing submarket.
To assist in ongoing support and maintenance, which OTL is performing, OTL also custom built the show and audio controllers for the project with the ability to send diagnostic information in real time to OTL warning of anomalies or errors with the fountain, lights or audio equipment.
