Downtown Summerlin
Las Vegas, Nevada
Near Macy’s, within a 30-foot circular basin of stunning black granite, OTL carefully placed 32 individually controlled pop jets, each with RGB lighting and capable of shooting water six feet in the air. Near Dillards, six LED white lights illuminate a round basin crowned by a sculptured bronze dome pinpointed with holes through which synchronized mists of fog cool and delight shoppers from morning into the night. At the destination’s main passageway, a statement-making water wall features a constant flow of water that elegantly follows the trails of kiln-formed Wavelet decorative glass created by Nathan Allan Glass Studios, Inc.
For the urban retail center’s main water feature, OTL orchestrated twists of water that cascade down three sides of an iconic, illuminated 35-foot bronze sculpture conceived by SWA Architects and fabricated by Metal Arts Foundry in Lehi, Utah. The continuous flow of water congregates in a 100-foot long, kidney-shaped stepped reflecting pool constructed by OTL with sandstone quarried from Utah.
Downtown Summerlin was developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation.

IDEA
More than a shopping center, Downtown Summerlin was envisioned as a true “downtown” core that would not only become a destination, but also deliver a communal experience.
Amidst a super-charged atmosphere of shopping, music, fashion and entertainment, four distinct OTL water features provide a mixture of calm, reflection and beauty at this 1.6-million-square-foot lifestyle center located outside Las Vegas.
