At Lakeshore Towers, an 865,000-square-foot office campus, OTL designed and built a two-sided entry fountain framed by geometric stepped waterfalls on one side and a water wall on the other. Working with a team of architects and a general contractor, OTL also placed black granite cube fountains throughout the campus, weaving nature into its corporate aesthetic.
PROJECT
CHALLENGE
Ownership wanted an office campus where nature-inspired elements gave tenants a place to unwind without leaving the property, backed by research linking such environments to measurable gains in productivity, creativity and well-being. The cube fountains’ glassy, reflective water surfaces added a technical hurdle: even a small ripple would ruin their calm, mirror-like effect.
OTL’S
SOLUTION
OTL identified glass aggregate as the fix, adding a colorful artistic texture that calms the water’s surface while still allowing sufficient flow through each cube fountain. The two-sided entry fountain paired stepped waterfalls with a water wall, each engineered with the technical precision needed to create a genuinely calming arrival experience.
PROJECT
IMPACT
Today, Lakeshore Towers gives tenants and visitors a series of tranquil gathering spots woven throughout its corporate campus, elevating the everyday office experience with nature at every turn.
