At Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, a 5.2-acre deck park built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway, OTL built the Nancy Best Fountain for owner Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation, named for philanthropist Nancy K. Best after she and husband Randy Best donated $10 million toward the project. OTL constructed what is now considered the tallest interactive fountain in the world.

CHALLENGE
The park needed a water feature powerful enough to match that ambition while meeting a tight deadline to minimize disruption for visitors. Routing plumbing through the deck park’s box beams required careful sequencing to avoid elevation changes that could trap air and compromise the system.
OTL’S
SOLUTION
OTL built 45 nozzle assemblies, comprising 106 arrays and 350 rose jets, alongside three multi-axis robotic nozzles that shoot water 55 feet into the air and up to 95 feet for special events. Custom-fabricated stainless-steel sculptural trees ring the display for safety and visual impact, while 216 programmable LED lights animate jets patterned after trees, leaves and flowers to a cross-cultural musical score.
The Nancy Best Fountain now stands as Klyde Warren Park’s crowning jewel, an artistic fusion of nature and music that draws visitors from miles around to Pearl Street’s entrance.
