During 2020, in our newsletter and throughout our social media platforms, we began spotlighting team members who are key to the success of our company.
While OTL is known throughout the USA and internationally for designing and building magnificent water features, rockwork, and themed environments, our company’s true foundation is our people. OTL simply would not be the same without our incredibly talented, dedicated, and caring team.
This month’s Team Spotlight is devoted to our General Superintendent and Problem Solver Extraordinaire, Mike Eaglin. Mike has been a member of OTL’s team since its inception and a collaborator with the firm’s founders for 34 years, gaining their insight and vision for the company. He is in charge of overseeing projects and programs, ensuring our operations adhere to industry requirements. He also supervises the daily procedures on our construction sites to ensure each project is completed within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with the highest quality standards.
We spoke with Mike about his experience with the company, a fun fact about him, and his aspirations for the future.
Favorite project since joining OTL: My favorite project is Young Living’s corporate headquarters in Lehi, Utah. We delivered a dramatic interior 50-foot rock waterfall and reflection pond, an exterior fountain with choreographic displays, and three runnel fountains at this property that are unlike any other water features I’ve seen at an office building. I’m proud that the employees at this leading essential oils company are greeted by these beautiful and unique projects every day.
Greatest accomplishment at the company: I’ve been fortunate to work with a wonderful crew at OTL who have taught me new things, and I’m pleased to have gained their respect.
Fun fact about Mike: I once had a full head of hair that I permed.
Aspirations for the future: I want to continue to strive for excellence among the OTL team. I also look forward to retirement – eventually.
Stay tuned for Team Spotlights featuring more of OTL’s outstanding team members.
