Getting to Know OTL’s General Superintendent Jesus Solorzano Mora

Beginning in 2020, in our newsletter and throughout our social media platforms, we began spotlighting team members who are key to the success of our company.
While OTL is known throughout the USA and internationally for designing and building magnificent water features, rockwork and themed environments, our company’s true foundation is our people. OTL simply would not be the same without our incredibly talented, dedicated, and caring team.
This month’s Team Spotlight is devoted to OTL’s general superintendent Jesus Solorzano Mora. Since joining the company three years ago, Jesus has grown significantly in his role and has become an indispensable member of our team. He is primarily in charge of overseeing projects and programs, ensuring operations adhere to OTL’s high standards and requirements, and supervising the daily procedures on the construction sites for our projects to ensure they are completed within budget, on schedule, and up to our quality standards.
Jesus told us about his experiences and accomplishments at OTL:
Favorite project since joining OTL: My favorite project has been Williams Square in Irving, Texas. The designer of this project did a great job with the plans, and the general contractor was very helpful. The way the stallions appear as if they are moving through the water is very realistic – and eye catching.
Greatest accomplishment at the company: My greatest accomplishment has been to be able to get out of my comfort zone and take on a new role in the company. I started OTL as a Superintendent and recently took on the role of General Superintendent, which comes with a lot more responsibilities. I am proud to work for a company that recognizes hard work and look forward to future opportunities and growth here.
Fun fact about Joshua: I like to collect old currency.
Aspirations for the future: In my future with OTL, I hope to see many successful projects. The completion of our Nancy Best project at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas is my current challenge and focus. I am excited to develop my crew and challenge myself working on new and creative projects.
Stay tuned for Team Spotlights featuring more of OTL’s outstanding team members.
