Sarah Shores

Vice President of Administration

Sarah Shores believes exceptional work starts with exceptional people, and that a company is only as strong as the culture that brings those people together.

Since joining OTL in 2014, Sarah has developed a broad understanding of the business from the inside out. Her background in construction, recruiting, and business administration has shaped the way she approaches both people and business challenges. She has a natural ability to read people and situations, understand different perspectives, and recognize how decisions made in one part of the company can affect another.

As Vice President of Administration, Sarah often works where people, operations, finance, contracts, and risk intersect. Rather than viewing those areas independently, she looks at the larger picture, bringing together the right people and information to work through complex issues and make thoughtful decisions. More than a decade with OTL has also given her deep institutional knowledge and an understanding of not only how the company operates, but why.

Sarah has played an active role in shaping OTL’s culture as the company has grown. She believes strong cultures are built through clear expectations, honest communication, accountability, trust, and giving people opportunities to grow. For Sarah, understanding people is just as important as understanding the business, and creating an environment where talented people can succeed is an essential part of building a strong company.

Her perspective extends beyond OTL through her involvement with the Construction Financial Management Association, the National Association of Women in Construction, 100 Companies That Care, and other construction and business organizations.

Outside of work, Sarah’s time is often centered around the things she values most: family, giving back, travel, and being outdoors. She enjoys experiencing new places, supporting causes that make a meaningful difference, and finding any excuse to spend more time outside.

For Sarah, the goal is not simply to help OTL grow, but to help it grow well, protecting what makes the company special while continuing to strengthen the people, culture, and business behind the work.
