The Challenge Country Club

The picturesque Santa Monica Mountains provide a natural backdrop for The Challenge golf course. Golfing aside, our team’s personal challenge was to take a theme crafted by nature and carry it over to the golf course’s rockwork and water features. We achieved this by designing and creating 25-foot waterfalls, streams and ponds that highlight the 18th hole. Using natural boulders from the nearby mountains, we designed and crafted a believable stream feature that seems to appear from the mountains, cross the fairway, tumble over a rock outcropping and end in a pond near the clubhouse.
