Creating a Mountain: OTL Selected to Design Costa Rican-Themed Entertainment Environment in Buena Park

A visit to Costa Rica is getting much closer for Southern California residents.

Outside the Lines, Inc. (OTL) was selected to design and construct several spectacular features for the new $25 million entertainment destination Butterfly Palladium in the City of Buena Park.

The project, which is inspired by the rainforests of Central America, will feature a 45-foot tall artificial mountain designed and constructed by OTL.

OTL will also bring its signature water features and themed construction to the destination, including stunning waterfall features, rockwork, artificial streams, and of course – live butterflies.

Butterfly Palladium is being developed by Rubin Stahl, whose prior projects include the largest shopping mall in North America and numerous zoos and aquariums. OTL is also working closely with Lila Stahl, President of Butterfly Palladium; lead architect Brissette Architects, Inc.; the City of Buena Park; associate architect amk STUDIO; general contractor Acon Development, Inc.; and landscape architect Conceptual Design & Planning Company (CDPC), among others.
