OTL Expertise in Demand from Coast to Coast
Posted in News -
Demand for OTL water features and exquisite rockwork creations is not taking a summertime break. OTL’s entertainment and commercial portfolio continues to grow with projects in all phases of construction from South Florida to California and spots in-between.
In Kennett Square, Penn., OTL will soon begin consulting with the team charged with the largest fountain renovation in the history of the iconic Longwood Gardens. A major goal of the project is honoring the legacy of the main fountain, which has a history dating back to 1931 when Pierre S. du Pont first turned on the fountains after nearly 20 years of design and construction.
Near the country’s center in Plano, Tex., OTL recently completed a signature fountain for The Shops at Legacy, a master planned development of high-end boutique retail shops and restaurants.
Closer to home in San Diego, Calif., OTL is currently selecting and stockpiling some 350 tons of natural rock for creation of a 250-foot-long meandering dry stream for the Falls at Civita, a sustainable, planned urban-style village located on a former quarry site. In addition to placing natural rock and boulders selected from a local quarry in Corona, Calif., OTL will also use artificial rockwork to create the hillside water feature modeled after local waterfall Mildred Falls. Like Mildred Falls, the feature will be dry most of the year, but will receive water from runoff collected from the surrounding community. OTL is expected to begin construction in mid-July.
From crowd stopping show fountains at the country’s busiest retail centers to the serene beauty of natural streambeds at private estates, the artisans of OTL continue to create some of the most memorable rockwork, water features and themed environments in the country.
